Shenel Ozisik joined IJRC as a legal intern in May 2016. She is pursuing a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, where she completed the International Studies program with highest honors. While attending UC San Diego, she volunteered for programs promoting educational access within low income communities and became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating, Shenel relocated to Italy and worked as the first native English teacher in several schools in the Piedmont region.
